2nd National Bladder and Kidney Cancer meeting

Dr Daniel Moon and A/Prof Declan Murphy convened the 2nd National Bladder and Kidney Cancer meeting, held at the MCG from February 9 to 11, 2012. AUA Urology Nurse and Practice Manager Kay Talbot convened the Nurses' component of the meeting.

Including a local faculty from around Australia and New Zealand, along with five world experts from Europe (Prof Urs Studer, Dr Axel Bex), the US (Prof Michael Blute, Dr James Porter), and Canada (Prof Mary Gospodarowicz) the meeting was widely attended with close to 300 registrants.  The conference consisted of two days of lectures, discussions, and case presentations followed by specialty workshops in bladder cancer surgery and radiotherapy, and the use of robotic surgery for partial nephrectomy.  The next meeting will be held in 2014.
